Judge gives light sentence to on-the-lam gay-basher
Patrick Groce, a family man with plenty of community ties, was a 19-year-old thug in June 1994 when he and a buddy pulled their car to the curb, verbally taunted a gay man, and beat the stranger to the ground near 13th and Lombard streets.
